Emergency Surgery

Some emergencies can only be solved in the operating room. A toy stuck in the intestines. A ruptured spleen. A twisted stomach. Our surgical suite is staffed and ready around the clock. Board-certified surgeons, modern anesthesia monitoring, and a full ICU for recovery — all available at 3 AM just like at 3 PM.

Warning Signs to Watch For

If your pet shows any of these symptoms, call us immediately.

Swallowed a foreign object (toy, sock, bone)
Distended, painful abdomen
Pregnant pet in prolonged labor
Sudden collapse or extreme weakness
Known internal mass or tumor rupture
Penetrating wound (stick, fence, etc.)

How We Treat Emergency Surgery

We start with rapid diagnostics — X-rays and ultrasound to see exactly what's happening inside. Our anesthesia team prepares your pet while the surgeon scrubs in. During surgery, we monitor heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, CO2, and temperature continuously. After surgery, your pet goes to our ICU with dedicated nursing staff, IV pain management, and round-the-clock monitoring.

Why Acting Fast Matters

Foreign bodies can perforate the intestine, causing sepsis. A ruptured spleen can lead to fatal blood loss in under an hour. Dystocia (difficult birth) puts both mother and puppies at risk. These aren't conditions that improve with waiting. If your vet says 'go to the ER,' don't stop to pack a bag. Just go.
